Mobo Northbridge hot

As the title says, the northbridge on my mobo is very hot to the touch. It's almost too hot to touch. It is conjoined to the VRM cooler which only warm to the touch. Don't get any thermal throttling even under 100% load. Any ideas?

It will get very hot - if your worried about it make sure it gets sufficient airflow.

A good gadget to try is an antec spotcool fan, works well for directing airflow to components that run hot. Ive used one to very good effect with sli gpu's. So it could work as well on chipsets.
