Hey guys, have got my CPU stable to 2.2Ghz no problem, and yet when I turn my computer back on the morning after it won't boot, and I have to clear the cmos and send it back to stock. I have a feeling its the mobo, but I'm not sure tbh, anyone got any ideas? Specs in sig

Have you updated the BIOS and have you lowered the memory multiplier to x2.0 to take it out of the equation?

In addition to the above what voltage do you have the RAM running at? And what are the timings?

Also try upping the PCI-E frequency to either 101 or 105 and see if it makes things better.

Bios is on f10, latest apart from the beta of 11. Where is the memory multiplier? PCI freq was running at 100 I think, and Im not sure about the memory timings, thats the one thing about OCing I dont understand

Hit Ctrl and F1 together on the main BIOS screen to unlock the memory options.

4-4-4-12 are fine for running on the x2.0 memory multiplier until you get to 2.9-3.0ghz.

Have you set the ram voltage to +3?

And it shouldnt be a problem on a cpu that can hit 3.5ghz ;)
It might be worth posting over at the MOBO forum to see who has your mobo and what advice they can offer.

Well Jay has been over, pinkfloyd on here I believe, And it's currently at 2.8Ghz, will post tomorrow if it boots in the morning :)

Don't forget the capitals ;)

Not sure what was holding you back before, but glad you've got progress. Noticed that that cpuz was showing the vcore to be 0.05 lower than in bios, upped it to counter for this, so its now showing as 1.3v in cpuz. Chip was clocking nicely then, called it a day at 2.8, since i was hungry and came home to get food!

Hope all is good tomorrow!
