mobo not working !!!

there's no life in the keyboard and the monitor has no signal... damn it, both are just dead, now do i fix it myself or send it into a shop, it's a lot of work to pull it all apart !

but at least it's still under guarantee

Have you tried doing a CMOS reset and possibility test with only one memory module installed.

yes, i've tried all of that, this is the first time i've never seen anything on the screen or a keyboard dead, nothing works, i'll send it back to this place next week

Details would help, what were you doing when it died? what have you tried to fix the problem?

i would try graphics card, when my 6950 died the usbs wouldnt work at all. fitted new card all ok again .

i dont think it's the card because it wouldn't work via the mobo display I/O PORT either, i tried another monitor, plus i removed the Ram etc....i cant see why the graphics card shouldn't be working

as said, ive always had some sort of response via the keyboard in the past, or eventually got into bios etc, the previous day i dusted off the mobo with my air compressor.

no lights working on the keyboard/ keys dead and nothing on the screen

the fans are still working, plus the external DVD Drive still fires up

i havent tried removing the card, i will try this before stripping down pc, i tried the MOBO graphics yes, nothing

try a different psu, same reaction when 5v is measuring 7v and 12v is measuring 2 lol.

it's the card !!!!!! pc works fine via the HDMI OUTPUT PORT, i put the card back in and nothing, removed it again and it worked ok.

i hope the card is easy to replace because i didn't get it from here, plus i dont have the packaging any more.

pc is of course much easier to fix now, but i'm very surprised the card blew, if this happens again i'll switch back to Nvidia..

graphics can be a pain, as i said my old card blocked all usbs when it bit the dust, glad you got it sorted

it just takes i little thing on a graphics card they usually ask for all packaging back if you returning a product but you might get away with it

There should be no problem returning it without the original packaging.

Having it would have made it easier to pack for posting though.

i didn't get it from here, but it's going to be a pain to send back, it'll need to go in a small box and well wrapped too, if not they might say i've voided the guarantee.....

but at least it's not the mobo, i can still upgrage the rig and download Steam etc, just cant game.

i originally fitted card with only one 8 pin power supply and this might have damaged it, or going up to 1.3V, even so; i'm a bit surprised it blew, it's not even damaged... just dead

i might pay a bit more and get the MSI Lightning instead !!
