MOBO or PSU Failure

Ok so my rig has a fault

With every thing connected press start button and nothing happens, disconnect the 8 pin mobob (plug 12v?) leave everything else connected and it starts but doesn't post, the CPU fan spins but other fan headers appear to be dead.

So what do you think dead mobo or dead PSU?

The CPU fan spins with the 8-pin unplugged? It sounds stupid, but check that the CPU fan isn't plugged into another header. If the 8-pin is unplugged, the CPU fan shouldn't be spinning - I may be wrong.

Of course, it could still be a mobo or PSU fault. If you've got another PSU handy, try it out. If you get the same fault, then the problem is likely to be the mobo.

Mobo its just taken out my spare PSU I'm having a rubbish day.
