Mobo power supply question

I've picked up a GB DQ6 from the mm and I was checking it over this evening and I came across the 12V socket on the mobo. All the other boards I've seen have the usual 4 pin 12v atx plug whereas this looks like it might require an 8 pin one.

Will the 4 pin one fit and work in this 8 pin socket?

edit : seen a molex to 8 pin adapter for a few quid is this the best solution?

The 4 pin should fit and work in one side of the 8 pin socket.

I'd guess that there'll be some guidance in the manual?

The 4 pin will work but it is recommended to use a 8 pin for quads. You cannot insert a 4 pin into the wrong sockets as it will only fit one way.
