Hi All,
Just built a new system and its been up and running for about 2 weeks now. I have been using the supplied utilites with the mobo to monitor system and core temps, but downloaded some vista sidebar gadgets that use Everest to monitor temp fan speed etc every thing seemed to run smoothly for about an hour or so.
Now after about 5 min the system is reporting the mobo/system temp of 191c!!!???
So i rebooted and went into bios and that gives a temp of 31c ish and now as i write this my system is reporting fan speeds of 4682 rpm but fan speed has not increase?? Then mobo temp reports back as 30c then back to 191c
These temps an reading are also shown with the Asus AI suite utiltiy that came with the board. All the other temps seem to report back ok (I think)
The Mobo is a Asus PK5C and i am using the latest bios, update yesterday as it was also doing it with the previous bios.
Anybody got any idea's as to why this is..........will remove Everest to see if that does any thing.
