What is the best way to test a motherboard


I have a 400w PSU to test and make sure it is working

I am testing it because it blew up after I plugged in my last psu. The PSU stopped working and I'm scared it has broken my motherboard

when I power it up why could I do to check for damage. I
Do not want to put any parts on the motherboard just incase they get damaged

Don't think you can test a motherboard properly without parts.. could be wrong though.

Give the motherboard a visual inspection for any burn marks anywhere including the power sockets to see if there is any black inside.
