Hey peeps,
I plan on picking up a 4770k and a mobo today but i wanna know if the price dif in motherboards (£100-170) is just features or will it affect my ability to overclock?

For instance, the ASUS z87-plus or the ASUS z87 pro. Other than luxuries will performance suffer? I have 7970 crossfire so ability to run those and a 4.4-4.6 (chip permitting) overclock is all I require from it.

In that price Range go Giga OC, Giga UD4H, ASUS M6G or Hero. All are great stable overclocking boards.

No thats a decent board. Just would not have been my choice with the funds you have available.

Gutted :(

Thats took a bit out of the new stuff excitement Ive had since I pulled the trigger this afternoon!

If you have just ordered from OCUK give them a ring and ask if they would not mind changing your mobo on your order, OCUK are usually great about doing this.

Sorry just been into Durham shopping, I already have the board now so I'm keeping it. The oc board isnt for me as I am a gamer and after I set up the initial speeds it is never touched again. Plus it was 20 quid more and the one I got has a nice headphone amp on it. You are right though bud, OCUK are usually great about stuff like that so I dont mind paying a little extra for a giant piece of mind.
