Had my mod 1 yesterday and failed for not getting up to speed on the hazard avoidance. :o Clocked 48Km/h. Absolutely gutted. Other than that I had a clean sheet. The best part is I just found out that they're changing the test in a few weeks to allow a 5% tolerance in reaching the speed.

It probably won't get anywhere but I wrote a complaint to the DSA to ask why I should pay again when doing the same maneuver at the same speed in a few weeks time would mean I pass.

Need to get a cancellation asap! Next available on the DSA site is May! :(

Yeah, I got it fine on the Emergency Stop @ 54kmh first time. I was sure I was going quick enough on the second attempt of the HA (engine noisier). The only thing I can think of is that I rolled off the throttle just slightly early and the engine braking in 2nd scrubbed off a load of speed.

Shame it's going to cost with the training company for half a day on the bike again. I'm tempted to take my z750 on a trailer but the turning circle isn't great

Had my 2nd attempt today and passed!

55kmh and 59kmh on the hazard avoidance and emergency stop respectively. No chances taken this time :D

Mod 2 next week.

Well I passed my Mod 2 today, first time! :D:D:D

Just the 2 minors for the same thing (not getting over to the right early enough for right turn at a junction). The examiner was the first DSA employee I've met that had a bit of personality and spoke to me like a human being. Maybe people in Merthyr aren't so bad after all ;) :D

Absolutely chuffed to bits.

Will be sorting out my insurance tomorrow ready for the weekend. Hopefully there should be at least a couple of dry mornings as being predicted at the moment.
