mod_pagespeed by google

It odes, however after some configuring and tweaking today, my homeserver appears quite a bit slower....shall have to investigate further!
 
right. have had to uninstall. on my (low power Atom) server it causes severe degradation in performance. pages were taking up to 30 secs to load and even the server seemed slow to respond to name requests causing all sorts of problems.
 
I think this is a bit bleeding edge at the moment so I wouldn't put it in to production, but give it a few months and it should mature and stabilise.
 
Looks to me like it does all the stuff web developers should be doing anyway. on a properly optimized site it has very little effect
