Modding an old shuttle to take a new mITX board?

I've just found one of my old Shuttles in the loft (and ST61G4, socket 478 based P4), and was wondering if (with a little persuasion and modification) I could get it to take a mITX mobo?

Has anyone seen it done, or indeed done it themselves?

I've got a hankering for a small but meaty i5 or PII mITX system.

Plenty of space around the I/O panel to extend in whatever direction required, question is, what board to go for?

Might possibly go s775, assuming I can get one with 3 or 4 sata ports?

You could also use a Pico PSU!

That's one of those external 12v adapters with a control block that plugs into the ATX socket on the mobo?

What kind of wattage are we talking?
