I bought the Elder Scrolls Morrowind ages ago but have never really played it before. I want to mod it up a little bit so that it is a bit nicer to play. Normally with Elder Scrolls games I just install the unofficial code patch to get the latest bug fixes for the game but I was wondering if there were any mods which I should install as well. It is all a bit confusing to me.

I always use the Nexus Mods website with the Nexus Mod Manager software on Windows 10 and also use LOOT for the other games in the series.

All I really need is an unofficial patch and maybe a single graphics mod to make the graphics look at bit better.

Any help is appreciated :).

Click "direct download".

You will need a fresh, unmodded clean save to use this Overhaul and its a fairly lengthy process but looks astonishing. Use that as your base graphics and sound mod then top it off with textures and anything else.

Awesome. Thanks for the link.

This might be a stupid question but does that include bug fixes for the base game as well or is it simply a graphics and sound overhaul? If it does have bug fixes as well this sounds perfect for my requirements.

Edit: Found the Morrowind Code Patch on Nexus Mods. That looks like what I am after.

Since you always use Nexus you might like to know that Morrowind Overhaul is also available from there:

Thanks for the link.

I should clarify what I meant when I said I always use the Nexus mod site though. I didn't mean it was the only site I am willing to use just that it is a good place to look for mods because they have so many and using their software makes it easy to install new mods.

Morrowind is very attractive as MGSO literally will give you the best mods you could ask for, all the bugfixes, sick graphics, more immersive sounds and it does add a fair bit of gameplay mods too that you can choose from just by clicking an .exe!

Morrowind: MGSO 3.0
Oblivion: Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul
Skyrim: ??? - Suffer with manually installing a billion mods that leads to a CTD!

Does kind of show you that people are a little more serious about their work these days, people have tried to make compendiums of the 'ultimate mods' but mod authors basically end up saying no. If you look at G.E.M.S, how sick would that actually be if it was a huge install with all the mods and steps done for you and not a guide that may or may not lead to CTDs anyway!

But yeah, grab MGSO it's brilliant.

I would also add Accurate Attack to your mod list, if you're more familiar with modern RGPs (including oblivion and skyrim) which removes the 'dice roll' element of whether your attack will actually connect with the enemy. You could be standing right in front of a pesky bandit waving your sword around and non of the attacks connect! I don't like this so I get the accurate attack mod every time - it is only a couple of kb and is an .esp file only (or whatever it is called).
