Has anyone had any experience with modding this case to allow space for a fan controller? Specifically, the BitFenix Recon Black.

I understand there is no 5.25" bay, but could do with adding one for the controller.

Ideally, you could do with a Work Bench of some sort if you're going to continue to use it, although a work top of some sort would do.

You'd also want some sort of clamps, if you were working with wood you'd want metal, however I'd suggest some plastic ones, they're not cheap but not overly expensive.

You will also want to cover the acrylic with a material (the same sort of stuff that you get on it when you buy acrylic, I'm not too sure what that stuff is called or where you would get it from however.

Not forgetting the blades, I just use fine cut blades which are suitable for most things including plastics. Make sure you get the right ones to fit the Jigsaw as there are a couple of fittings (I believe there are T and U, I could be wrong though).

Also a quick note, as you cut through the acrylic if you go to fast, the friction will create heat which in turn can make it mold up behind you, you just want to be careful of this :)

Edit: Just thought, you could use masking tape on the acrylic, this allows you to not only mark where you want it, but also it will stop you from scratching the surface. Another thing I forgot to add is a file, the Jigsaw will most likely leave a rough edge, you will want to file it down.

You could always get it cut professionally, using a saw or a dremel will undoubtedly leave a jagged edge and be less refined than sending it off to a company that can do it with CAM. Unsure as to how much that would cost though.

I got the NZXT Sentry LXE Touch Screen External Fan Controller for my Parvum Systems S1.0
to save space , to have a 5.25" bay cut on the front right is going to be hard & also limit
you for space for front USB if you need them & also less room & more wires .

massively modified mine with just a hacksaw, powerdrill, wood file and sandpaper
Very easy to work with - just take it slow.

Didn't use clamps, but a table cloth (tea towel) is a must to stop the underside from getting scratched.

It will look better if you get the Parvum guys to do it - but where's the fun in that?
