Hi,

I am currently doing a gutting of my home network and restructuring it (its surprising how many things are on it now).

My plan is to have a Smoothwall act as my router now, but am looking for a Modem that is compatible with Smoothwall, is USB and can support a 24meg ADSL connection.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thank You.

Currently I am using a Netgear DG834G and it is currently doing all the basic modem and router duties. My ISP is O2, they did provide a Thompson Re-Branded router, but It never really functioned well with anything besides Web Traffic.

Sorry, I should have said that USB is preferred, although I could live without it.

Thanks for the information.

Bridge Mode didn't even cross my mind, also I didn't think about the DGTeam Firmware (I did try it briefly).

Thanks for mentioning pfSense, I haven't used it before but after looking at it I might give it a shot.

:D
