Modem router suggestions please

My smart hub 6 is starting to get flakey on the 5ghz network so I'm looking for some recommendations if I can. It needs to be able to stand on its edge like the Rt-ac68u as the shelf it goes on doesn't have much room for it to sit flat. I don't have draytek money either! Budget around £60

Have you tried changing the 5GHz channel used by the Smart Hub? You aren’t going to get a better AIO for £60.

No I haven't tried changing the channel yet. I picked its current channel as it was the one with less congestion. I'll try it letting it choose its own channel

If it’s actually faulty but you’re otherwise happy with it then get a Business Smart Hub off eBay brand new for about £30. It lets you set your own DNS and define static routes etc.

Yeh I'm happy with it. I'm a bit dumb so I'm sorry but what's own DNS and static routes.?!

The business hubs allow slightly more user configuration than the home versions. If you don't know what DNS and static routes are then chances are they aren't something you're going to care about

Better to Google the terms if you want to know what they are. Any explanation on here would just be repeating easily accessible information.
