I think the biggest change is not only the wider platform of expressing onseself, but the apparent desire to be perceived to think a certain way. It goes for those demanding social change and those saying 'hurrr look at these people winging'. It's half pursuing the point and half 'look at me'.

Mebbe it's just me, but I never lump discussion forums into the category of "social media".

The point is... you have to filter out vast, vast amounts of crap on most social media platforms, because for every insightful and informative post, there are thousands of mine to wade through first.

oh look, yet another person who can't figure out how to use a very simple system not liking it. its always the same.
You dont have to trawel through anything. the only things it shows be it facebook/twitter/youtube etc, are things you follow. so if you are following stuff you don't like, well that says more about you than the system.

Doesn't change the fact that 90% of everything on Facebook is drivel. Inane crap that nobody really wants to know, about the things you had for breakfast.

lol, and this forum is 90% good? your statement should have been reversed, a forum like this is almost all rubbish and on top of th, t it is almsot impossible to fillter out the drivel.
what does it matter what drivel is on there if you never see it.
the fact is you are a bad user who cant use an extremely easy system. perhaps have a look at yourself.

LOL, you really know nothing old bean. Nothing at all, about me or how I use the internet. Besides that I post a bunch of crap here.

I'm chuckling at being a bad internet user because I don't use Facebook properly. Quite funny for some reason at 3am.
