Modern scrolling shooters?

So i've been playing Beat Hazard a lot and love it, reminded me how much I love that style of game. Are there any other recent scrolling games, the more particle physics the better!

Try Mutant Storm Empire once the order page is up. They had an offer on to buy it cheap a while back, but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Anyway, a great shooter (once they let people buy it again).

Astro Tripper isn't bad either.
