Modern Warefare 2 and my setup

The game seems a little bit laggy even off line - is my set up alright? What is my main bottleneck?. If i upgraded my card would everything be cool - don't want to pay the earth though. Would like to max the settings, but not at the very highest resolutions.

I maxed out the settings on my 512mb 8800GT and quad core so yours should be fine (although I dont know how the ATI card compares).

I did experience some jumping during heavy scenes but this was my old hard disk chugging away loading textures, etc. I have since upgraded to a new one to sort this out.

I was running in 1280x1024 though so depends on your resolution too. Havent tried it with the new 1920x1080 screen yet!

I'm running on a 32" samsung LCD TV screen set to 16:9 Ratio and 1360 X 768

Is anyone one running windows 7 64bit?

Was thinking of upgrading to Sapphire Toxic HD4890 1G GDDR5 Vapor-X - any thoughts? Seems a reasonable price.

4890 is a good choice at the current prices. My mate runs a Vapor-X and loves it.

I have everything maxed and my 4890 eats it up. CPU is a mid range quad but still no slowdown/lag
Running windows 7 64 with 4 gig memory

Running it maxed out on my rig with 2x AA. I don't see any reason at all why it wouldn't max out on yours and run perfect.

Off topic, but I just noticed that Xander is from Inverness. I'm 25 miles up the road. It's a bit weird seeing other people from the Highlands online.
