Modern warfare 2 Odd chat issue

This is probably really easy to fix, I don't play much on live, so please don't laugh

When I am playing team deathmatch and in a party, I can only hear the people who are on My Friends list, I confirmed this by adding someone to my friends list that was in the party, this enabled me to hear them. Is there a setting that I have inadvertently set so I can only hear people on my friends list?

Hope this male sense, Ideally I want to hear everyone on my team regardless if they are in my party or on my friends list.

NAT is Open, and I've set the Xbox to get an IP from DHCP

Check your system setting under voice chat, make sure its set to ALL.

Thought it may just be a glitch, IW disable party chat with some game modes.

Guide Button -> System Settings, can't see an option for voice chat?

Go to xbox.com then go into privacy settings or guide button -> profile -> privacy settings

But trust me, it's best kept as you have it so you don't have to listen to a lot of annoying people
