Modern Warfare 2 PS3 MP Arranging Thread !

Anyone else getting party invite errors, had a couple from stella and mushy and it saying error, party session is no longer valid.
Did notice on the back on the box it says not to be sold in the UK, think that could be the problem?
 
Me and my mate nitrox80 have been trying to get a game and i couldnt connect to him and the other way round i also couldnt connect to stellasuppa so great job IW :rolleyes: i am registered on there forums and there is a thread 6 pages long about it but some guy reckons there is a workaround , dont blame me if it doesnt work though this is what he posted .

Firstly, have the person you want to be the party leader be on the Multiplayer Party page, and just stay on there. Then the player(s) who are joining sign out of PSN, and sign back in.

It works the workaround as the guy said , you just have the party leader in the lobby and the player(s) in the XMB (not ingame) log out then log back in and get the party leader to send a invite and it just worked for me and nitrox80 :D .
 
I want to play online. Whappers sent me an invite but I have no idea how to accept it in game?

Can I create a lobby/party and some of us play now? my PSN is rp2000.

You can't at the moment. Its broken along with trophies.

Temporary solution:

Have the host player be on the Multiplayer Online main page (with Find Game, Private Match etc on the side).
Then the player(s) who you want to invite have to turn their console off for about 20-30 seconds, and turn back on. Then the host player should send invites out and you will be able to join. The way to tell if you are able to join them, is under their name on the PSN friend list it'll say "Modern Warfare 2© In a party".

I am confused (not played COD 4 much). When I press Invite I see an XMB friends list and clicking on a name shows me their PSN profile. i just assumed you create a lobby/group etc and then you start some sort of matchmaking?

Edit: I see now, looks like normal PSN profile screen but there is a MW2 invite button as well.

Is this a PSN or Infinity Ward problem?

Look closer at the options given on their profile. There is a MW2 menu.

I can't even get this far. Unless I am missing something, I cannot see anywhere to accept invites. When I use the MW2 menu in XMB I only ever have the "Invite to game" option, I assume there should be an "accept invite" option, if I highlight someone who has sent me an invite?

Is there a link to somewhere discussing what is and isn't broken, and the official workarounds, so I don't waste time faffing around in game?
