Hey all,

Im having a problem on MW during the campaign on the mission: "Embedded". It happens about 14 minutes into this playthrough:

Basically it just locks up completely when i see the helicopter, then nothing & it just shuts the game own completely.

I then have to restart the game & it gives me the option to start in safe mode. I cannot get past this section of the game, it's very frustrating. Anyone have any ideas?

Spec wise I am on:

i5 6600k
Geforce 1080
16Gb ram
Samsung 970 Plus 500Gb M2 SSD

Have tried with new drivers on everything & everything is fully updated, so I am really at a loss as to what else to try :/

Cheers

Hey - yes i do it’s oc’d to 4.2ghz

temps are 66c max & its prime95 stable.
I did the oc years ago & have had no stablity issues.
Also this crash will happen if ive been running the game for 30 seconds or 30 minutes. It’s like something loads when i see the copter that triggers a crash :/

Yep, there’s something not right with this game.

Mine doesn’t crash but it’s the only game I’ve come across that maxes out my CPU at 100% occasionally.

There’s no rhyme or reason why it does but it does.

Cool thanks - I'll try the stock check first then also some of the online fixes re. 100% CPU load!

What a joke - it's barely finished!
I think the older 4 cores without HT really struggle. My bros 3570k was at 100% and he switched for a 3770k which fixed it.

Which CPU?

Wonder if its bad programming and utilisation causing it. Too many reports of this with COD atm.

An OC’d 2700X, 8 cores & 16 threads. :D

Yet I still get 60FPS+ @ 4K max settings with RTX enabled.

Only noticed it the other day as I’d had some monitoring software running in the background.

Game runs well, but there’s something buggy in there somewhere.

I had a couple of bugs that required me to reinstall the game to get past.

First one was textures not loading in a certain mission (forget which, Going Dark possibly?) and the second was a CTD at the same point each time in a mission. Both times completely reinstalling fixed the problem, but at 120GB a shot it was rather annoying!
