So, I have a Netgear DGN2200 and just found this little opensource project called Modfs.
Some modified Netgear firmware on the router and Modfs on a Pendrive plugged in and you open up a whole host of options, one being GUI based Target SNR Margin %.
Messing about to see how far I could push the line and I got up to 19MBit/s from 16Mbit/Sec with a target % of 30
D)
Quite a jump, but sacrificed stability. Slowly increasing the target % by 10 every time the line drops and hopefully can squeeze some more out of my line and keep it stable.
A shame my line stats are so poor really as being able to GET the 20MBit/Sec out of my 20MBit/sec service would be good
