I'm looking for a modified bios that controls the Northbridge fanspeed controller like my old bios used to do. I've upgraded the to the latest 7025v1b bios and have found out that ity does not have the same Northbridge fanspeed control as the old bios did. Now the noise comming from the northbridge fan is driving me mad.. :(

I need a bios that able to run the opteron 165, hence why i needed to upgrade the bios in the first place.

Cheers.

Ok, thanks for that.. Do you know if the Neo2 will support the 165 with the 1.8 bios? That was the bios that i upgraded from btw, i'd keep that version if it was compatable..

I'm also using Windows64 which, according to MSI's web page, hasn't got a version of corecell released for it which is a pain - do you know anything about a 64bit verison of corecell?

Hi, I was using the latest modded BIOS version from SYAR [k8n neo2 syar easy bios 1c3], combined with speedfan worked very well indeed. Using an opty 146.

I think the NEO2 has more modded BIOS's than any other board.

one lot and yet another lot.

I wondered why) I reckon this is used by (poor) old school overclockers that refuse to upgrade from AGP.

i too like carter am using the easy bios, and it is very good. not sure if you can control northbridge fan though, you can use speedfan or equivalent or put a zalman passive heatsink on it?

Be carefull with passive.
Note whats directly behind the AGP slot. (AGP cards are long)

Chances are your graphics card will hit a high passive one unless you do some modding.
