Anyone tried this? I'm fed up with ati tool now, so I want to change to 750/850 in the bios. Anyone tried it before, or want to be my guinea pig? :D

I changed the default clocks on a X800 with Rabit a while ago. It's easy to do and saves time manually setting the clocks everytime you change drivers and what not. Just find the limit of the card, reduce by a few MHz for stability, dump the BIOS, modify it and flash the card. I've done the same thing with my current 7800GTX too.

thing is ive had a look into these and it only records 2d speeds and core voltage nothing todo with mem voltage either. So in games would it just change the 3d speeds back to normal?

Just an idea, but maybe the ati2evxx.exe driver in memory takes care of the 3d settings? I know if I kill the driver its stuck in 2d?

Well, if it's of any interest, the card died! :D Lol, I tried flashing it, no picture at all. Could might have saved it by reflashing it with a pci-card, but I spared myself for the hazzle, ordered 7800gtx 512mb and rmaed the x1800xt :p

I'm sorry but this really annoys me. Why should you be eligible for an RMA after you YOU borked the card having nothing to do with either the manufacturer or reseller or developer. Surely this fraud. I hope they investigate this and deny you an RMA.

Sorry just my opinion.

King.
