Modifying the Reserator1 v2

Hi All

Wow, what a behemoth of a forum!

I just bought a Reserator1 v2 after much research into a reduced noise system. I would like to state here that I am a total watercooling nub I have a Core2 2.4GHz and a 8800GTS, two HDs in the case and X-fi sound card.

I want to cool the CPU, GPU and Northbridge (it gets ******* hot on my Asus P5N)

The problem is, I think coolant flow rate is going to be an issue with 3 water blocks and only as 5W pump.
My question is this: should I add an additional, more powerful, external pump and retain the existing unit or ditch the original one?

I'm not big on fluid dynamics, when the two pumps are in series will the larger pump take the strain off the smaller pump or will the smaller pump impede the flow rate due to it's lower flow rate?

Does anybody run a Reserator with dual parallel pumps? i.e. a redundant system.

Well, I have plenty more questions but this will do for now. I hope some experienced Reserator owners will be able to answer but all comments are welcome.

That is interesting. Maybe this has something to do with the fact the system does not have a "conventional" radiator so the pump does not need a lot of torque to push water around a load of pipes and back to a reservoir. I found a French site where they fitted an uprated Eheim pump to a Reserator1 and it made virtually no difference to the temps.

Do you use any type of fan on yours?
