My case dosent have one fan in it at all. Think how hot the isnide of my case is hehe. i think when i open my pc case my gfx drops from 65 idle- 52-50 :P

So ive decided to get some money, and get myself a few fans to sort my problem out.

This is what will go inside my pc, and also i dont have any places for a pc case fan so im gona put it on the side of my pc, loads of holes on the side so easy to tie it up, i know it sounds cheap but i have thick silver string tht will work well since my pc side is silver ^^.

Heres the fans :P

Think my temps will drop any? i hope so shud all arrive on saturday or monday

my case only had one case fan in it, 80mm at the back for exhaust, so added two yate loon 120mm fans and the airflow through the case is great. it definitely benefits it, because you need the hot air to be removed from the components. if your temps drop so much on your graphics card when you take the side of the case off, you need those fans! :D

depending on your cpu temps it may be worth it to look into a good cpu heat sink, that's what dropped my temps the most (for cpu though not gpu)

PS just noticed you said there were NO places to put case fans - every case I've ever seen has one hole at the front and one at the back for fans. are you sure they aren't there? Ideally you want cool air coming into the front and hot air going out the back, here's where they are on mine:

so far this is what I think OP's case is:

got that from his other thread. there must be holes for fans behind the plastic front bits and at the back...mustn't there?

Its a packard bell case, and no it has no mounting holes.

I dont actualy have a camera, only a web camera i can try to take a few pics with it but it will be really bad quality. here they are

your cpu temps seem fine on idle, how are they on load?

the only thing you seem to have as an option is to drill some holes in the back of your case for an exhaust: fans aren't that useful if the air can't move around. or drill attachment holes into the side of your case and put a fan there above the gpu /cpu.

maybe buy a new case? there are some mega cheap ones (like mine, and it's perfectly fine) for under £30, just as long as it has intake and exhaust holes.

edit: case ducky spud has suggested is a good idea to go for!

As i said, i am planning on putting two case fans on the side :P

If you look at the pic of my side, were the holes are, i can easily attatch two fans to it :P so that will help cool the case down allot.

My brother and dad also work in a fibre glass plant were they make bus parts and build the busses.

They said they have something that i could stick the fans down with, some special double sided tape, cant remember what the name of it was, so if that works it'l also be easier to put the fans anywhere, top, sides, back, front etc :P. No ones gonna see the inside of the case anyway so it dosent matter what it looks like.

Also i dont have money for a new case thats why im trying to do this... inside this week ive spent around £90 on my pc so i dont really have money to spend. 16 with no job fml xD

Also i could mod the side panel if any one has any ideas? I did GCSE technology and design so it wouldnt be a problem =)

1 - Could you give the dims of the area above the IO panel to pci slots & up to the psu.

2 - Also can you remove the front bezel & take interior & external pics.

I would try to get a fan/s mounted in the front & rear to create cross flow to cool the components properly.

Thus far from looks I would say drill fan mounts on the rear panel & stick in 2x80mm or 2x60mm fans depending on question 1.

From plates up is 140mm across is 95mm

140x95mm =)pics inside are a;ready there, a good inside pic for the plate is here

Cant get the fan in the front as the hardrive in mounted on the front :/

I already orderd 2x 80mm fans and a pci slot fan so atleast one fan at the back will be fitted, then i can fit one on the side which wont be a problem at all.

with a pci fan, side and a back fan going i think my temps should go down a good bit. After i get my exam results i know im geting £50 even if i fail, but the more passes i get the more money i will get :D
