Basically I played this a while back and didn't get very far because the SSD I had this installed on died.

What I do remember is wasting hours trying to mod it using guides and videos with the majority of the mods being incompatible and not working.

Would anyone here be as so kind as to list the mods they used while playing the Steam version that worked?

The only things that seemed to work fine were the Mod Manager and the two Unofficial Patches for fixes and things. I'd like to be able to sort the graphics out and the UI.

Thanks.

If you're up for a couple of days of modding, then have a read through this excellent thread...

Everything there worked for me on the Steam version. Every mod I've tried has worked on the Steam version since some of the more essential modding tools got updated to be compatible.

If you just want to hit graphics and UI, the biggest two are probably Qarl's Texture Pack 3 for graphics, and Darnified UI for the UI.

Definitely recommend getting familiar with OBMM for handling mods as well.

I downloaded loads of mods, and then in the end I cbb to spend so much time to get it to work, and loads of people said it's fine to just play as is first time round, so I just installed the patches and started! I might install the Qarl's Texture Pack though..

I've tried the Darnified UI but it made the Quest text disappear. :(

Had to have my mate help me out and eventually disabled it as it made the help text disappear.

I've just had a look at this, am I right in saying it's not even Oblivion but a totally new game?

Sorry to bump but does anyone know of any mods that work with Oblivion Mod Manager? I've just spent about an hour trying mods and none of them are working, i'm getting ****ed off big time.
