Modular power supplies?

I think it's to do with the fact that you can cyustomise what connectors are connected to the supply. Seems like a really good idea, means less power cables hanging round in the case.

Looking into one myself, still a bit grouchy about spending mega money on a psu but it needs to be done to keep the beast running right.

I had a non-modular psu a few weeks back but when i bought a new case i figured i would also go modular - got a 500w Enermax Liberty and so far its done a great job - and i only have 2 of the 6 possible connections 'active' if you will so far fewer cables to clutter the case :)
It's a v1100+ so bigger and better designed than my old case but still the modular psu helped a lot - if you can justify it then go for it as i can't see the downside ...
