modular PSUs

what exactly is meant by a 'modular' PSU? I keep seeing this term coming up and with an upgrade on the way very soon I suspect I'm going to be shopping around.

Means you can attach and detach 'modules' into it. Basically you can remove cables that you don't need. Reduces clutter in the machine basically.

Guess modular/non-modular = choice between less clutter/better airflow or always having the correct cable to hand instead of having to route through a drawer for one lol

go for a good quality modular PSU if you can, obviously theyre not as rhobust as they could be !.
