Only gripe I have was their set didn't seem too well thought out. I saw them at the same venue when they toured Happy Songs and it just seemed to flow a lot better, there was much more stopping and starting this time around and the songs didn't seem to gel as they did last time.
Still, they're one of the most intense live bands you'll see so always an experience to remember.
Watch your mouth kid, I know where you live now.Sic said:what did everyone (except music-fascist "Big Chris") think to the support? i believe their name was "The Magnificents"

I may be a fascist for the most part when it comes to music but they just weren't very good, and certainly weren't an obvious choice for a support band (although there were Scottish). The whole quirky Indie thing really doesn't do it for me, the guitar & drums were very generic and dull and the broken vocal style annoyed me more than anything.
Yeah I s'pose, but then again we've been quite blessed when it comes to support bands of late have we not Mr Tandy?Sic said:heh, there's just no pleasing some people. it's nice to have a bit of variation in the night and considering that was only their second show on the tour i thought they did quite well. they had that whole joy division thing going on, and i'd much rather they supported than the killers or some diluted crap like that.

All I can say is wow...what a band.
Kinda contradicting yourself a bit there, in a thread that you started!sist_si said:I didn't think much of them either to be honest. It was all a bit samey...maybe they're different on record but I just don't think their songs worked well.

haha, of course he did! You can tell it's a sunday morning can't you...DanTheMan said:Think he means the support band.
