A fan made proof of concept type thing but how good does that look? A remake in UE5 I'd be all for if it could come close to, or exceed how this looks.

Great memories playing multiplayer on 56k modem and waiting until after 6pm for when your time online was a lot cheaper :)
I literally had to wait until after midnight to get a half decent ping , now im sitting on a superfast 1GB fiber to the home connection.

I get 8 ping on my online shooter of choice, used to be happy with anything under 200.....

What a game that was, I hope for it to be remastered

Would be nice to see it remade given how popular it was. Its hard to believe its now over 23 years old, released Jan 2002 (delayed from Sept 2001), at the time I was so into DOD then i seen the little compilation trailer (below) and compared to DOD graphically it looked a massive step up. Just a shame they had to change the camera view system originally your weapon wasn't bolted to the screen like regular shooters, it moved around quite a bit but caused clipping issues so in the end they went with the bolted to the screen method.
