Taken from eurogamer, its out now.

Electronic Arts has popped out a fresh update for Medal of Honor Airborne on PC.

It makes the war a bit more interesting by offering Hunt Classic and Heraklion maps in multiplayer, the option to swap rifles for other weapons on dedicated servers, and a new Objective Mode

I like the sound of this, especially the objectives. Maybe its time for me to reinstall, anyone know if people still play this?

Airborne....

It just goes to show how unfinished this game was, last 2 patches have both been over a gig each..

Yep, I use to like MoH for its realistic setting, but that last mission (and those gas-mask-huge-chain-gun-nazis) really killed it for me. Got rid of it while it was still worth money :p

May grab it again just to see if EA can polish a turd:rolleyes:

same for me i thought the other missions were all right. the dday one had something going but then you start going into that flaktower thing and these terminator like nazis start shooting you i just thought forget it.

though i did like the other levels but never got into multiplayer. seemed a bit dull when i tried it.

Do the patches change the ludicrous Save Game situation?

Bit of a Johny-Come-Lately to this title only buying yesterday but already given up in frustration. Playing the first mission on medium level I was not getting very far, being killed and having to restart. Finally, after 20 - 30 minutes patiently slogging away, I finally took out the first flak gun and was well into the attack on the town hall, when a Goon I didn't spot crept up behind and killed me by melee.

Totally gutted to find myself back in the plane at the start of the mission.

Now COD2/4 are a bit frustrating with the constant grenading etc. but at least the checkpoints are fairly close together. Crysis and Quake 4 you can save at will.

This is just utter pants to me and the game is destined as shelf/'bay ware if there is no solution to the issue.

What with the buggy, unfinished, Rail Simulator and now this, methinks EA QA has really gone down the tubes lately.

Pretty good as games go, all the people who whine about "omg giant chain gun nazis" "omg aliens in crysis" really miss the point of what games do as a medium, it would be like saying "yeah terminator was ok but those cyborgs made it suck".

The multiplayer aspect of it is weird, it came without proper MP support, it took them around 3 months to release a patch that let you have dedicated servers and are now still releasing content updates... the MP actually felt good to play to which is a shame, but they doomed it from the start with that back to front approach.

2gig of patches is just too much for me, on my measly 512k connection. Just how good/bad is the multiplayer?

Yeah but it's not like Crysis or Terminator actually happened :p

I haven't actually played the last level so I'm not sure what the big deal is. Might try to get around to finishing it this weekend.

Exactly why I was asking...before using 20% of my BT Broadband monthly download allowance, would like to know if the patch will actually change the fact after 20 mins of playing, the game hasn't been saved?

ohh I missed this game, after wanting to get it on release.
Not interested in single player. Is it worth getting for the multiplayer?

you know that's how the saving works in moh:a right? The flak gun you destroyed is still destroyed when you jump out of the plane again. You always jump out of the plane again when you die. :) Your objectives always stay done after you've done them.

Aaaahhh...thanks.

I didn't know that, actually. Not something made very clear.

Will give it another go then.

Do the areas you've cleared of Goons stay clear or do they respawn?
