Medal of Honor - Beta Discussion

I know the PC guys (which may include me) get a beta for preorders from the 21st to the 18th, is it the same for console users?

Also, BFBC2 VIP's get to play the beta from June 17th.

I'm interested in how they portray the M4 and AK47, seing as they've never been in EA games before as far as I know.

Hopefully they don't massively restrict gun selection because of the teams, although then again a CS style Terrorist v.s. Counter-Terrorist weapon selection would be quite cool imo :)

Why say that now? You don't even know if you'll like it or not at the moment?

I'll preorder it after this weekend, I need to focus on exams and if I'm sitting on a MoH beta code I'm not going to get any revision done :(
 
idk, but I imagine seing as the servers for MoH will probably be the same ones as used for BC2, the servers will already know if you're a BC2 VIP, so after installing the beta only BC2 VIP's will be on the servers until the 21st I think.

Don't know about the whole retailer situation though.
 
Woah just after 1"00 in (in the multiplayer trailer), there's a sniper clip, and it looks like the zoom is adjusting on the scope? the whole image gets magnified except the HUD and the gun, so does that mean adjustable sights for snipers? If so... win! :D
 
^^ +1, hopefully they put more into the console servers this time and run at least a few night-time EU servers so that we don't have to schedule when we play based on lag, BC2 late night sessions got pretty horrific on occasion!
 
Can you redeem it on more than one platform? If yes then could I let my friend have a pc code seing as I'll most likely be playing it on Xbox?

But I mean will that generic code expire after being used on a 360 i.e. so it can't be used to get the download once on pc and once on xbox, even if they're using the same EA account?
 
Yeah seems to be the case, I reckon they leave that loophole open so they can hit pre-order marks, and hope that people choose to still buy the game even if they originally planned to cancel the pre-order and never play MoH again :D
 
which version you order doesn't matter afaik.
Where from doesn't matter afaik except in that some retailers aren't immediately distributing codes.

i don't see any ridiculous killstreaks or 2 shot to kill AR's, do you? :D

Nice to see they didn't water down Frostbite when unecessary, hopefully they've upped the sensitivity seing as there's more CQB, on BC2 I routinely get ****ed on at CQB with shotguns because I can't aim fast enough, and I play on full sensitivity (although tbh I also play on full sensitivity on MW2, but full sensitivity on BC2 feels like 4 sensitivity on MW2/CoD4, which i don't really like.

What's the number that's in the bottom right hand of the HUD, usually x/100, but I've seen 0/40 as well, normally above the ammo?

And the sniper zoom seems to be to check your shot after firing, so no adjustable zoom, you still need to scope out to **** the bolt which seems lame, I kinda hoped they'd make it so you could stay scoped and just take longer/fumble with the lever, it's irritating when trying to snipe on BC2 to have to continuously remember to scope out before the bolt can be cocked, way too many times I've shot, watched the bullet, then forgotten to scope out and miss the next shot because i didn't scope out. That is mostly down to my incompetence though :D

BC1 crashes for me: 0
BF1943 crashes for me: 0
BC2 crashes for me: 1

Something tells me it's a PS3 problem, not a Frostbite problem, especially as Frostbite 1 was only for BC1 and 1943, and BC2 and MoH are on Frostbite 2.
 
BC2 VIP Members who sign up for MoH with the same EA Account as they did for BC2 had the same codes as everyone else, but their EA Accounts were allowed onto the MoH servers from the 18th, whereas everyone else who preordered and has a code can get on from the 21st :)
