Hi guys,

I used to love MOHAA but had some problems with it under Vista 64 when Vista was first released.

Is anyone still playing? Last time I looked I struggled to find Objective servers it was all DM junk. Will I have problems with Cheating Death or whatever the anti-cheat add on was?

I even liked spearhead and breakthrough, but not pacific ass-halt.

AA has died a bit of a death but both Spearhead and Breakthrough servers are thriving. I've been playing a lot of objective freeze tag recently on bolt action rifle servers and having great fun, especially with the rifle butt

MOHAA and Breakthrough are amazing games. Brest was my fav level, i still know my way around it in my head and all the good hiding places! Might have a stab on it tonight actually

Perhaps, but AA is where it started. COD4 custom servers don't tend to be very popular either (with the exception of competitive mods e.g. Promod/PAM), whereas its easy to find a freezetag server on AA.

Yeah i know most of the hiding places, I loved Destroyed Village, was a master sniper

Played this up until a few months ago. Freezetag was funny. I like sniping on that map thats on the beach.

Me and my mates used to play with the 'poof' on which annoyed a lot of people.

The only way I think you will get that question answered is to pose it on a clan forum. It is possible but I don't know how.

In fact the frustration suffered by many folk with Vista and older games has convinced me to keep a single core pc with XP pro going, I even use old graphic drivers (81.95) and everything is as sweet as a nut.

Vista x64 & nvidia cards - enable the openGL extention limit in NVCPL... Worked fine a few months ago on my 8800GTS can't imagine it not working any more on my GTX260 ( but I haven't tried yet).

Widescreen: Use a hack, see WSGF, don't go online with it as it's frowned upon . Haven't personally used it.


Freezetag rocks, in CoD4 it sucks a bit because you don't unfreeze people by simply standing on their frozen body ( you need to hold down the laser) and the laser is invisible.


Loved playing freezetag in spearhead online . Know all the maps perfectly and even when I popped in after ages of not playing online I still knew how to play well, I wasted sooooo many hours on spearhead online...

As it uses Q3 engine surely you don't need any hacks for widescreen, just put this in CFG:

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "1680"
seta r_customheight "1050"

^adjusting above values to suit
