Moisture On Intake Fan ?

I bought some Sharkoon Silent Eagles recently, Although at high RPM they are quite loud, They do a great job at bringing temperatures down.

Today i noticed a clicking noise coming from one, I thought maybe a wire was sitting infront of the blades.

When i opened my case i found moisture sitting in the fan casing:

Is there any reason for this ? It can't be condensation surely ?

None of my other fans have this issue including another Sharkoon Silent Eagle.

Any thoughts ?

I suspect it's a bearing failure and that's lubricant.

Yeah, I was thinking the same.

Sounds like a lot of hassle to RMA a single fan

As they cost over £10, I would say it's worth RMAing for the price of a jiffy bag and 2nd class recorded post. You never know they might agree to cover the cost too.

Your right, i had this happen on a silent eagle 2000, first started noticing a bit of lube on the frame, the fan failed a few days later.
