Mojang account email and password change?

I have just checked my e mails and nothing from Mojang about any changes

change your password to be on the safe side

Thanks.

Is odd.

Email address and Mojang account have very different passwords and there are the challenge questions you have to set with Mojang.

The email was changed to [email protected]

Disputed the email change as per Mojangs email, awaiting password reset email so I can log back in.

Edit:

They have changed my username to HiBro Play which I cannot change for 30 days apparently.

Will contact support.

I wonder if this is the same guy:

I had a similar problem a few weeks back.

There's a Russian site which seems to "hack" inactive accounts and tries to resell them on for basically nothing, like 40p (dunno if I should really be linking this, but oh well :D http://steame.ru/goods/1512999). Luckily like you I had my account tied to a Mojang account and I got an e-mail sent through straight away informing me that my password had been changed.

What's funny is that the guy that tried to buy the account contacted me after he realised I changed to account details back...:

"hI! Im Hindu programmer, i have no many, but want to play on minecraft.... sorry for my try to stole your akk...can you give me to play from yours akk a few days... plz"

:D

Heh. That is quite amusing. First time I've heard of a hacker getting in-contact with someone when they realised they had been discovered.

Apologies for the late reply.

Thanks for the info.

The thing is, the cheeky tyke who had my account, created a youtube channel...

Sounds like a 7 year old.

Another site I found is http://zaka-zaka.com/

This is interesting:

I had the same issue. Received an email one morning telling me that I had migrated my Minecraft account into a Mojang......I knew I had not done this.

By the time I responded to the email and tried to log in (not clicking any link in said email obviously). The account's email etc had been changed.

I sent a request to Mojang to get it back.....and to be fair they did (despite me not being able to provide proof of purchase).....but it took 3 weeks for them to do so. I even had to chase them up on twitter to push it through.

Great customer service from end result.....but shocking in the time it took.....awful awful. Apparently they have a huge backlog. According to this site :

https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/359446-when-will-i-hear-back-

Two weeks wait time....and they do not work weekends.

I am guessing there is a lot of this kinda stuff that goes on, hence the backlog. I mean how many other problems can people have with Minecraft????
