molex fan - a bit confused...

hi guys, a quick question:

i have the antec 300 case with two antec fans (one 140mm in the roof, oone 120mm on the back)

basucally the fans have a connector like this:

and what i wanted to know is:

can i connect plug in a molex cable into the roof fan and then plug that straight into the DVD drive? or does the fan need all the power?

i.e. PSU -> molex -> fan -> DVD drive

You are fine loading quite a few devices to a single molex. You usually find it gets messy before you run out of current carrying ability.

Yup you can daisy chain power cables, best to try and work it so you don't though as it makes your case look a mess
