I have a Corsair HX620 and am using the two PSU PCIe slots for one 5850, I want to run a second 5850 and so will need to use two 2xmolex->PCIe connectors.

I have two connectors but need to know how to wire them up:

HX620 - the two top PCIe slots are in taken:

I am guessing i need to plug a molex into the white and yellow marked slots, then do i 2 connect like this:

or like this:

If the second one then

First one's second molex is electrically pointless, does nothing.

Im not so sure about this, looking at the connection on the pcie, all the molex wires actually go to a different pin except for the middle one, it doesn't appear to be chained like normal, can anyone confirm the correct setup, after searching i've found next to no help, just one place saying you connect both, do you connect both to one dedicated cable like in the first image or not?

It has to be the second one. The whole point is to evenly spread the load on the wires. They have a maximum power rating (and get warm when it is starting to exceed it).
The Corsair has: 1 x 12v, 1 x 5v, 1 x 3.3v and 2 grounds. Thats on each one. All the gfx card requires is 12v and gnd. Thats why 2 of the wires are not used.
