Bit of background...
A few month ago went to start the car and nothing, so AA came out after a look about noticed a fuse in the engine bay had blown, so replaced the fuse and off I went.
4 weeks later, car driving down the road and engine just cut out completely. Went to restart, nothing again, checked the fuse and it had blown. However on replacing the same fuse it blew 2 instantly before randomly starting up again on limp mode.
At this point I took it to a local garage which after some looking about they reckoned it was a starter motor issue so happy days got it replaced with a full service.
This morning, picked the car up from garage... 2mins down the road, same issue, engine just cuts out and doesnt restart, checked the fuse it had blown so tried putting a new one in to get it running back to the garage but still no start but this time not blown the same fuse after replacing it but still not starting the engine... just trying to turn over but not firing.
Ive managed to get the garage to pick it up and now its back with them. However after spending money on a new starter motor after they said this was the issue, I am assuming they will be good enough to actually find the fault and hopefully take the cost of the starter motor off the new problem.
But has anyone had this issue? Mondeo 2013 Mk4 I think TDCi 1.6. They reckon its not a wiring short anywhere either....
