Anyone know if its possible to download the user\owners manual of the the mk3 in pdf format? Been looking around and all i can find is the service manual.

Cheap as chips on the bay.

Was it something specific you wanted to know? I can look at mine for you if there is

A relatives just bought one and the manual seems to have been battered a bit, missing a lot of pages. Think he just wants to have a squint at it before he starts pressing buttons.

Worth buying a paper one for what they cost - a PDF isnt much good when you're stuck at the side of the road trying to find the right fuse, or how to change a bulb :)

The cruise control button is located on the steering wheel i assume? On the left of the wheel theres 2 buttons saying on\off, but he's been in some cars where its on the indicator stalk at the end with a little push button.

Think i'll have to point him to the bay for a new manual.

Yup, on the left of the wheel the on/off buttons switch the system on and off. On the right, theres + - and RES. Plus increases speed, Minus decreases it (funnily enough) and RES resets it to the previous stored speed or disengages it when it's active (indicated by a symbol on the trip computer)

All correct.
Pressing brake or clutch will disengage cruise control also. I think it also wipes the last RES setting.

If the trip computer is there then the button on the left of the (display - I forget its name), underneath the computer display is to change from metric to imperial. Hold it down for a few seconds to reset the MPG reading.

Not true - I often will set it to motorway cruising speed and brake to slow down, then press RES again to speed up. It's only cleared if you press off or turn off the ignition

Oh, and remember to press the lock button on the keyfob twice - first press locks the doors, second press double locks (from inside). Hold it down to close all the windows too :)

I remember having that on the Zafira but I never tried it on the Mk3. Is that on the early models, or is it facelift only? The car is being looked at so I don't have it at the moment.

EDIT: And, silly me. Of course that's how it works. I do the RES buttong thing as well. D'oh!

Fairly sure its all of them, the one-touch windows need to be calibrated for it to work though.

I can't for the life of me get my nearside rear window to calibrate on the up position though, so whenever I show it off I can say "look, I can wind all the windows down like this"...... "then I can wind them up like this"...."Oh, except that one" :D

When I bought the car it had a duff window that wouldn't autoclose - I mentioned it to the car dealer as a fault but I also knew that I had the instructions for calibrating them at home!
