Hey,

Having a small issue with my aux input on the aforementioned vehicle - 2010 model with a Travelpilot NX unit in it. I have a USB port in the glove box which was working fine until a few days ago until it just stopped.

As in no more music and the screen (both nav screen and instrument panel) show the track name and position (Journey - Any Way You Want It, 2:04 fyi!) and it won't respond to any input.

Cycling the media input options and coming back to the AUX input does nothing. Removing the USB stick does nothing either and the display remains the same which is somewhat puzzling.

I can't find any obvious reset options within the HU menus so short of pulling the battery I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to fix this.

Anyone come across anything similar? My Google-Fu is weak and comes up with some old Talkford links which have little useful information and the things I've found there don't work!

:)

The connection on my aux in the glove box of my mk3 mondeo is crap and often requires a bit of wiggling about etc. Often only one side of the speakers work, then when I open the glove box both sides come on.

Not sure if it's related but maybe you could drop down glove box and examine connection on back?

Try the cold boot, failing that it does sound like a 'cut the power' jobbie. Its handy that the correct fuse has been posted by Howard otherwise you'd have to either disconnect the battery or remove the head unit to disconnect the connector at the back.

I'll give those ideas a go later on - cheers guys! :)

(by later I mean probably tomorrow afternoon when I can work on the car in the light :s)

Managed to free up some time today before going to work - couldn't apply the USB/BT update with the engine off as the HU kept turning off. Ran the update with the engine on and BAM! :D

Next up is Painkiller by Judas Priest! :D
