Mondeo Radio Code?

Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone can help point me in the right direction? I had to replace the battery in my 05 Mondeo and following this I've been locked out of using the radio.

Does anyone know of a reliable place for me to obtain the code for it? Or do I have to get in touch with a Ford dealer? I don't mind paying but there are so many dodgy looking sites on the interweb :/

Hold down 1+6, turn the radio on, it'll cycle through some numbers, you're after the serial number, which will start with a V or an M followed by 6 digits. There's a few sites that will give the code for free.

If the serial number starts with M there are plenty of apps that can decipher the code

If you've got a set of removal keys, then there is often a sticker on the radio unit somewhere with the code.

To save any hassle you can get one of ebay too. Think I paid like £4 for a transit radio code. There's plenty of reputable sellers
