Mondeo ST hunting

If you don't then a petrol Zetec S looks nearly the same and doesn't have the same risk of DMF failure or injector problems which would soon negate any fuel cost savings, plus they're a fair bit cheaper to buy.

The Zetec-S is nowhere near as good as the ST cars to drive - it has none of the suspension, steering and drivetrain upgrades the ST's get.

The chains should be maintenance free really - certainly up to 150k anyway. I've never heard of one needing any attention.

I might have first hand experience of paying for injector/s in the next few weeks :( Mine isn't idling quite right at the moment, although it's fine at speed. I'm hoping it's just a bad batch of diesel.

Greenlight were 50% less than any other quote for me on the 220.

27, 4 years ncb, crappy area, business use, £490ish.

Greenlight just quoted me £725!! Which is awesome. Says the insurer is highway. Only thing is that the requirement for 12 months of performance car before, I've only had 6 months before the car died and I had to buy my current focus in a hurry to replace it. I'm not sure whether that will be a stumbling block or not?
