Mondeo ST24 RSAP

I generally got around 30+ MPG, but then mine was pretty much mint with 40K on the clock in 2007..Faultless for 3 years until someone wrote it off, think it's back on the road though checking DVLA...

But that was an Si not an ST24. Whilst on paper they are very similar, in the market they are perceived very differently. Many people will cough up the extra 500 quid for the 'proper' ST. This is why Ghia X's were such good value despite being arguably a better car.

I know the st holds a premium over the other v6 models but I'm just surprised that they still cost around £1700 now, st's were around that price when I was looking for one 4 years ago!
To the op - for around the same price you could have a mk3 v6 modeo which is a definite improvment on the mk2.

The ST24 was tweaked slightly in the handling department over the ghia - lower and firmer suspension. plus RSAP kitted up they still look OK....

The mk3 is definately a nicer place to be but the normal V6 is a bit slow in the more lardy car..

Good suggestions there chaps - I've sent them a message anyway, I think it'll just use too much fuel, I have no need for a thirsty 2.5 V6 tbh.

Has the engine been revised in the mk3?
