Mondeo Voice Control Users

I've been playing with the voice control on the car and once you learn the commands I am actually finding it really usefull, sometimes even quicker than doing it manually

I am having some problems with one of the features though. This feature is not covered in the manual but does appear in the voice control system

Its the feature which lets you store a recorded name against a number, when you ask the car for help the car gives an example of "my office"

If you activate the voice control system and change to "phone" one of the options is "store mobile name" or it could be "store mobile number" (I'm doing this from memory)

Once you issue this command the car asks you which "line number" you want to add/change. To which I respond "1" and the car then says "cancelled" the car knows I said 1 because on the display it comes up with 1

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? if I say "help" the car tells me to say a number between 1 and 5...:S

I have a 2012 Mondeo and find it annoying, so much so that I very rarely use it. I have tried to dial a number using it before but didn't work. Also recently was playing about, FAN, 'what fan speed please' OFF, 'four', NO OFF, 'four', NOOOO 'select a function'

Much quicker just adjusting it manually..

weird, I have a south african accent and "climate" "19.5 degrees" works perfectly

I learnt very quickly that you have to talk to it calmly and as if you are talking to a passenger, not too loud and not too robot-ish just normal talking voice

Had this on my Focus, waste of time. I voice dialling worked though.

Mine has never asked me for a line number, just the number for the contact, the contact name and then 2store" to confirm at the end.

I cant right now, but will do when i get back in the car later, mine is only the zetec model, and has the 6000CD unit, im not sure if that will make a difference or not.

Ok. Phone - store name, "name please" say the name of contact. Repeat this when car asks you. Then car will ask for number. Car repeats the number. Then the car asks you to continue. You then say "store" the car will then store the name and number. This works on my 58 plate mondeo.
