Can't believe I'm writing this.

Would you give your cleaner a gift for Christmas?
She's employed and must be on minimum wage as I don't really pay the company much who she works for.

I'd rather give cash in a card as that's what I'd prefer.

We've had a few cleaners from this company and requested this particular one as she's so much better than any of the others.

I expect mockery for this thread.

I probably wouldn't but that's because I'm a stingy git. We pay our cleaner to clean, it's a purely business relationship.

Same usually. I don't really tip for work. That includes restaurants unless it's above and beyond.

But it's such a time saver for me. And she's so much better than others. Like she does more than she has to.

For a. Moment I thought she got more than just the tip

Most family sized houses take half a day to clean tbf, we have a cleaner once every 2 weeks and she does it in around 3.5-4 hours. We've always considered swapping to once a week for 2 hours but we tend to keep mostly on top of it that it doesn't need a weekly thorough clean.

In response to OP, we've always done a nice tub/box of chocolates (celebrations etc.) and a card and that's gone down well.
That's a big house.
How much does she clean? Like dusting and stuff too?

Pressing X to doubt, but even so, nowhere near a day's work. Very few people will be spending over £100 a month on a cleaner, you're in a tiny minority.

A few friends and people at work hire cleaners, but not one of them hires one for half a day.

Guess it depends how thorough.

Ours is 1.5 hours 2 times a month.
Mopping, vacuum, work tops, cleaning bath, sink, toilets, vacuum sofas etc.

Usually doesn't do my home office as I'm working in there.

Our house is small though.

I couldn't think of anything worse than sitting in my client's place with a vodka whilst they do my job. The awkwardness would surpass that of a game of soggy biscuit with Hurfdurf.

Damn it man. I have a vivid imagination and have seen (by accident) a round of soggy biscuit being played!

Yeah, it’s also cleaning the oven (6 hob range oven), the conservatory/our kids playroom and all of the bathrooms in the house so I’m not sure how she’d be able to do it any quicker. She’s brilliant to be fair and has definitely offered to do additional items in the house when she finds she’s done before the usual time allotted.

Similar boat to you in that I also work from home so the office I work in doesn’t get the clean but that room is basically a work laptop and a monitor so it’s not overly needed!

Have a rangemaster cooker too.
What a pain to clean those gas hobs. Rather her than me.
