Money no object Build (gaming)

If we are staying air to start with then I think my
Artic cooling Freezer 7 pro is good isn't it?

Prefer to go water straight away though and be done with it...
Maybe test it on this rig first??...

edit again..
Don't need "extra" storage either. my last rig is in the attic with about 1.5TB worth of discs in it acting as a server. (although in reality it's just an clean XP install plugged into the network but left on 24/7)

What's a gaming PC if it's not overclocked. :D

Been having a few words with a man with l337 skillzors anyway, and he has some good (sensible) cost effective idea's... Until January anyway, then the wallet comes out. ;)

When I Nov is your birthday?

November 11th the QX9650 is apparently going to be released and the 780i boards should be released around then.

So if money is no object go for this. :)

QX9650
3 x 8800 GTXs
Nvidia 780i motherboard
4gb of RAM
Custom watercooling
1 or maybe 2 x 1kW PSU
A case to fit it all in
30" Monitor

Jobs a good 'en. :)

wait .... with new processors and graphics around the corner before christmas time what is the point of paying 4k for a computer now when in 6 weeks time you can pay 4k and get something that will atleast be of the right "generation".

normaly i wouldn't say wait because things always change but "big" things are out soon so it is worth waiting :D

especialy with this kind of cash to burn :D

Hence I have heeded the advise off a mate I trust and only upgrading slightly at the moment, then when the new stuff comes out in Jan... go for it then. :D

Basically better CPU, better cooling and one 8800 GTX to get me into HD/DX10

Been wondering today what twin 1950 XTX's in crossfire are going to be like against one GTX ??
