Been using this app for around 4 years and find it really good. Can be tricky to set up, but once you have it's excellent. Has loads of features, such as importing online banking statements into accounts within Money and setting up regular bills tp be able to forecast/budget.

Personally find 2004 does everything I need. Only prob is that it isn't free.

i'll second the excel spreadsheet.
it should be more than adequate for tracking personal finances.
