Hello all,

What do you think is a large sum of money for you.

For me, £200 is the point where I start thinking about weather or not I really need the item.

Heh, at the moment, anything over £20 is considered a luxury item that can be done without (I'm saving for a summer holiday so money is tight). Generally though, I won't splash out on anything over £100 without justifying the purchase of it to myself. I've made enough mistakes in the past buying things needlessly to make sure anything I buy now is something I need, rather than something I just want.

difficult to say and would depend on the item , it more comes down to vlaue rather than what a "large amount" is

depends wether your talking as something that is needed or just something that is a like to have.

if it's needed them you just buy it anyway , I do tend to buy a lot of things on impulse , when I bought my car I wasn't looking for a new one but saw this one and 4 hours later I had spent £27,000 , on the other hand I was looking to book a holiday last week and had set what I considered a fair price but couldn't get within £700 of this figure so will leave it for now

You clearly have too much money :p

like someone said before its all relative to how important the item is.
personaly if i have cash in my pocket (more than i need to spend)
i start thinking twice at about £100 but at the moment i have no spare cash to splash as im decorating the house "sigh" i really hate wallpapering and painting

As I hardly ever have cash on me, the value of money to me isn’t that great. I pay my monthly bills, I’m very tight on myself, only buying new shoes, clothes etc when I need them, and not on impulse, so if I’ve got £60 in my hand, I do feel wealthy.

Depends on my situation, while at uni last year if I had £10 I would think twice before wasteing it unless I really would have got the benifit from the purchase. Now I'm working I feel it's time to treat myself a little after years of not being able to, probibly about upto my limit for treats now.

At the moment anything over £50 I start to think "Do I need that?" Sadly the little voice always says yes, but if you spent £75 you could get a nicer one :(

 Rotty which car is it??, the scooby that you have?? or have you bought a new one??.

The best way to become rich is to spend the least amount possible on cars, they are an absolute waste of money. I prefer to have a massive fat bank balance, so I can buy myself nice things occasionally, rather than have a flash car. It doesn't mean I don't want a flash car.. :(
