Moniter Arm needed

Another recommendation of the Ergotron LX. Worth every penny, very versatile and you can pivot your monitor to portrait if your current stand doesnt allow pivoting. Havent had any problems with a 22" monitor on the arm and no strain at all.
Only concern I have is that I should have invested in a dual display arm unless you are absolutely sure you're going to stick to one monitor...

I have two Ergotron LX with 22" monitors and the freedom of movement and having them floating is why I bought them but there is also the Ergotron Neo Flex LCD arm available at ~£50 which is similar or for even less money the Neo Flex LCD stand is height adjustable and can pivot too should that be all you are looking for.

i thought you could stick another arm on it? or you concerned about the weight of it?

+1 for the LX btw :)

Good idea, never thought of that. Look at the desk clamp part, there is enough room for a second arm but I doubt they would sell a spare arm cheaper than the whole part set. Worth a look though.

might be right about the price thing, but i'm 99% sure that it was designed so you could use another arm on it. sure i have ht einstructions somewhere :D

Actually I can't find anything to suggest it was designed to take another monitor and there are no accessories available to do it. It probably would support another monitor arm though but might as well just use another LX mounting post except of course if no space to fit one.

ah knew i wasn't going crazy.

but like you said, there is probably difficulty in purchasing a seperate arm.

Thanks, just looked and noticed you can get accessories from them. They call it an extension for use with existing arm but I think it fits but it will mean buying a vesa mounting plate too... Seems to much effort than buying another complete arm set.

Excellent find.

Yeah it's the first part of the arm that they sell as an accessory and it's available to extend the reach of the LX whereas the second part of the arm doesn't appear to be available seperately.
